ACI has linked up with IMAC, California, to create the first arbitration/mediation service with associated panels of lawyer mediators and lawyer arbitrators, fully qualified and accredited to provide services in both the UK and the USA. On 9 April, the transAtlantic association was announced by Paul Wright, the founder of IMAC, and Elizabeth Birch, the founder of ACI in Los Angeles and the London launch of the association took place on 10th July 2003 when the keynote speaker, Mr. Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master for the September 11 Claims, spoke of his experiences in administering the claims in the Old Hall Lincoln's Inn. Mr. Feinberg's attendance at the Reception marked his decision to make himself available as Mediator in substantial commercial disputes in London through ACI. Mr. Rod Margo, air law specialist, also spoke at the reception and is available for appointment in mediations taking place in England or Europe through ACI.
